Benjamin T. Rome School of Music Scholarships Listing

Clifford E. Brown Scholarship Fund


The Clifford E. Brown Scholarship Fund supports undergraduate students in the School of Music.  Selection is based on merit, as demonstrated by superior academic performance, high school grades and class rank, SAT scores, and a recommendation from the Evaluating Committee.

David and Rhoda Burchuck Scholarship Fund


The David and Rhoda Burchuck Scholarship Fund will be awarded to a student of strings, chamber music, or music education from the Washington Metropolitan area.

Marie F. Connor Scholarship Fund


The Marie F. Connor Scholarship Fund was established to promote the education of deserving graduate students in the School of Music who are studying voice or piano.  Students are selected based on merit, and are awarded the scholarship for one year.

Mastroianni Endowed Scholarship Fund


The Mastroianni Endowed Scholarship Fund is to be awarded to students pursuing a bachelor's degree in piano from The Benjamin T. Rome School of Music.  Recipients are selected based on demonstrated academic merit and financial need.

Benjamin T. Rome Graduate Scholarship Fund


The Benjamin T. Rome Graduate Scholarship Fund provides $3,000 scholarships to full-time graduate students who are pursuing degrees in the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music.  Selection of the recipient is determined by academic merit and musicianship of the candidate, with considerations given to financial need.

The Albert C., Gertrude M., & Lois E. Schmitt '55 Scholarship in Music provides assistance to graduate or undergraduate students majoring in voice or piano who clearly demonstrate a financial need.

The Nellie Gray Stevens Scholarship


The Nellie Gray Stevens Scholarship
was established to provide partial tuition assistance for deserving graduate students pursuing degrees in either voice or piano performance.  Recipients are selected based on academic merit, talent, and accomplishments.
